Mick Farmer was recently fortunate enough to able to capture some beautiful images of a pair of Redstarts (Phoenicurus phoenicurus).

These delightful birds are regular summer visitors to the Wyre Forest, although sadly their numbers have fallen in recent decades. The droughts of the 1960s and 1970s resulted in a dramatic fall in their numbers and this trend has continued since.
